Active aging and personalized care are key to improving the quality of life for older adults.

With this goal in mind, Kwido and Grupo Asoma have launched an innovative home telecare service in Torremocha (Caceres) and surrounding areas in Spain, using advanced technology to enhance in-home assistance for seniors.

This care model, already successfully implemented in other regions of Spain and Europe under the name of Extended Day Centers or Residential Care, allows older adults to continue living in their homes while still benefiting from the support and services typically offered by traditional day centers. This is achieved through the use of accessible and internet-connected tablets.

Video Calls and Cognitive Stimulation for Active Aging

The new home telecare service in Extremadura, implemented for Grupo Asoma, aims primarily to facilitate communication and provide support to older adults in their homes. To achieve this, individual and group video calls are used, allowing users to stay in touch with Grupo Asoma professionals, reducing social isolation.

Additionally, the platform enables the sharing of interactive content and games designed for cognitive stimulation, helping to maintain functions such as memory, attention, and mental agility. These activities are crucial in delaying cognitive decline and promoting healthy aging.

To ensure the best possible experience, the service includes platform-managed and controlled tablets by Kwido, with a secure configuration and internet connectivity, preventing technical issues and ensuring that seniors can fully benefit from the service without difficulties.

An Innovative Advanced Telecare Model in Spain and Europe

This new project in Extremadura represents another step forward in the Extended Day Center model promoted by Kwido across Europe. From Bizkaia to Italy, this initiative is proving that digitalizing elderly care is essential to providing more personalized, accessible, and effective assistance.

Grupo Asoma, a leading organization in the provision of socio-educational and elderly care services in Extremadura Region in Spain, remains committed to innovation in the social and healthcare sector, integrating technological solutions that enhance the well-being and autonomy of older adults.

Through this collaboration, Kwido and Grupo Asoma are making progress in the digital transformation of elderly care, bringing advanced telecare solutions to more homes and significantly improving the quality of life for users.
