At Kwido , we are celebrating a major milestone. The prestigious AAL Programme (Active and Assisted Living Programme) of the European Union has officially selected us as a Success Story in its latest impact report.
This recognition highlights our role as coordinators of the European frAAgiLe project, a revolutionary initiative focused on using digital tools and Artificial Intelligence for the detection and management of frailty in older adults.
What is the frAAgiLe project?
Aging is often accompanied by a state of frailty that, if not detected early, can lead to dependency. The frAAgiLe project was born with the goal of tackling the management of elderly frailty. To achieve this, we developed an innovative system based on:
- Motion detection and daily activity analysis.
- Cognitive stimulation and personalized at-home exercises.
- The integrated use of IoT devices, such as wearables and dynamometers, to collect accurate health data.
Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, the system goes beyond simple monitoring; it detects patterns and early warnings, allowing healthcare professionals to intervene before physical or cognitive frailty worsens.
From Research to Commercial Reality in Kwido
What prompted the AAL Programme to highlight this project in its 5th Impact Report is not just the technical brilliance of the research, but its real-world market application.
Too often, European R&D projects remain in the laboratory. However, at Ideable, we knew the true value of frAAgiLe lay in helping people.
Therefore, the results, algorithms, and tools developed during the project have been successfully integrated into the commercial Kwido platform.
Today, social and healthcare organizations using Kwido are already benefiting from these advanced tools to offer more preventive, predictive, and personalized care.
Fueling Further Innovation
Being recognized as a Success Story by the AAL Programme fills us with pride. It confirms that international collaboration and our commitment to AI are the right path to transforming the Silver Economy.
We will continue working at Ideable and Kwido to turn cutting-edge technology into invisible, human-centric, and accessible solutions that protect the quality of life of older adults.
